PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

What is it? It can take many forms today.

I am primarily talking about Military PTSD. Which in itself has many causes.

For instance seeing people you have formed a brotherhood bond with being killed in horrible ways.

To give some comparison it can also stem from childhood and horrid experiences there.

Imagine being 2 or 3 years old being beaten by a grown adult – and you can do nothing.

In military context there are many common causes –

but being able to nothing to prevent damage seems common in all cases.

In my life the most common problem is alienation from public fear.

Here is a VR Video where you can be in the video as the story is told.

If you are having difficulties getting by there is nothing wrong with talking about it.

If you know someone who is suffering in silence reach out and talk to them.

I read recently “poor people are more generous because they know what its like to be hungry”

The same can said with Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen. We know what its like to stare death in the face.

Yes it is good to talk about these matters but not everyone can understand.

Your closest friends may be able to offer comfort – but real help is best from professionals.

There is no weakness in asking for help – think for a second – if its hard, it takes courage.

We all say “man up and get it done” maybe its time to man up and talk to people that can help.

The road to undoing damage gets longer the more time you leave it.

Get a phone, take a deep breath and dial right away. The feel good factor afterwards can’t be bought.

In my experience I can recommend Combat Stress – standing by 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.
